Circus, Dance & Calisthenics Project: October half term

Aged ​8-18?  Interested in dance, circus and calisthenics? Or just want to try something new?

We're recruiting 20 participants for an exciting project happening this October half term. Across 2 days, you will take part in dance, circus and calisthenics workshops led by professional artists.

The project is free to take part, but booking is essential.

Free to take part, booking essential.  

If you're interested in this activity but not sure about taking part, there are free demos to watch on Tuesday 26th October 4:15-5:00pm. No booking is required for the demos, you can just turn up and find out what it's all about.  

Street Dance classes in Tredworth, Gloucester

Interested in learning Street Dance? We run weekly Breaking & Hip Hop classes at Parry Hall, Tredworth.

These fun classes take place on Thursdays are delivered by Banxy. Open for young people aged 8-16, whether you are trying Street Dance for the first time or already have some experience.

Breaking Workshops at The Vibe Youth Centre - POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We run Street Dance Sessions at the Vibe Youth Centre in Gloucester. Our fun dance sessions in breaking (breakdancing) are on Thursdays, for young people who attend Echoes#2 youth night.

Years 4-6, 6.15-7.15pm

Years 7-8, 7.45pm-8.45pm

Term time only.

Entry costs £2.50 per class.

How We Support Your Creativity and Expression

With Your Next Move, you will learn the fundamentals of hip-hop, the history of its culture, strong techniques, and most importantly, find your individual style. Our team will help you to explore a variety of street dance styles, including hip-hop, b-boying, house, breaking, locking, waacking and popping. 

 

Our workshops are hosted in a safe environment, by award-winning performers in music and dance. Dance courses will include demonstrations and a chance to learn and perform choreography. Or, if your form of expression is not through dance, you can try beatboxing, DJ’ing or MC’ing. Freestyle dance is perfect for individuals looking to express themselves without restrictions. The moves are fluid, relaxed and This art form can help anyone from all walks of life, to strengthen themselves physically and emotionally. Criteria for engagement

For our workshops, participants should:

  • Have a love for their chosen art form

  • Be able to memorise key moves or skills within their chosen art form

  • Work well with others

  • Be punctual

  • Be attentive to the workshop and its leader.
