Welcome to the dedicated hub for Breaking in Gloucester, created by Your Next Move and Gloucestershire Breaking to spotlight the local scene.
This page celebrates and promotes local breakers, classes, training spaces, battles, events and community stories.
Created as part of a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project, to honour the history of breaking in Gloucester that has helped shape the scene you see today.
It is a space for dancers and supporters to stay connected, inspired, and proud of their local culture.

Since early 2000s, Gloucester Guildhall has been a much-loved home for the local Breaking community with a dedicated weekly training space.
CLASS
From foundations to power moves - breand new & experienced dancers welcome. Performance opportunities.
5:30-6:30 PM
Every Tuesday (term time only)
Young people aged 8-16
TRAINING SPACE
The weekly meet up & training space for Breakers. Join dancers from across generations to connect, learn from and share with each other.
6:30-8:30 PM
Every Tuesday
Dancers aged 8-16 must attend with an adult.
EXHIBTION
Check out the film and photography display in Eastgate Shopping Centre, outside JD!

Created in 2025 to celebrate the Gloucester's Breaking Community: Past & Present project.
Expect more events that continue to connect the Breaking scene - for dancers, DJs and lovers of Hip Hop culture.
