What is Hip Hop Garden?
Hip Hop Garden in Gloucester is for 16-25 year olds who are passionate about music, the environment, and making a difference in their community. The programme combines hip hop, sustainability, and creative action. Participants learn to grow food, tell their story, and lead change through music, art, poetry, dance, live performance, and climate action. Hip Hop Garden in Gloucester particularly welcomes asylum seekers, refugees and young people of global majority / migrant background.
The original Hip Hop Garden concept was created by May Project Gardens. The Gloucester Edition is a collaboration with Your Next Move and takes place at The Fairshares Allotment in Tredworth.
This is a Hip Hop Garden and Your Next Move collaboration with partners Fairshares, Solux Kitchen, and Fresh Air Foundations, supported by Together Gloucester, Gloucestershire County Council, Gloucester Guildhall, and The Baring Foundation. It’s a space to connect, create, and make a real impact.
